Career
Ángela, then nine years old, and her brother Leonardo published the CD “Nueva Tradición” in 2012. At the BBC 100 Woman festival in Mexico City in 2016, 13-year-old Aguilar made history as the youngest performer. She expressed her desire to BBC News that the music industry will shift and become less controlled by men. Together with their father and uncle, Ángela and Leonardo set out on “Jaripeo Sin Fronteras,” an “equestrian-musical style tour,” at the beginning of 2018. Aguilar’s father produced her debut solo album, “Primero Soy Mexicana,” which she released in March of that year. At the Premios Tu Mundo, she sang the single “Tu Sangre en Mi Cuerpo”.
